Kids Choice Awards
In this project, I work the team in applying our motion design skills to create high-quality graphics, 3D animations, and composites using real client footage from Nickelodeon’s 2021 Kids’ Choice Awards “Blimp My Ride” hero spot, delivering work that meets professional on-air standards.

Research
The Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards (KCA) is an annual awards show celebrating fan-favorite movies, TV shows, music, and celebrities, with winners voted on by kids around the world. Known for its playful energy and iconic slime moments, it’s one of Nickelodeon’s biggest live events, blending entertainment, humor, and audience participation.
Blimp Design
As a group, we developed a blimp design concept featuring a retro TV-inspired blimp covered in slime, complete with a built-in stereo cabinet.
After completing the blimp design phase, we transitioned into production by dividing into four key roles: Eli as Composite Lead, Enrique as 3D Lead, Jisoo as Design Lead, and myself as Project Lead (Production Supervisor).
In my role, I managed the production pipeline, coordinated across departments, tracked progress, and ensured all assets moved efficiently from creation to final delivery.
As part of this coordination, I also stepped in to support team members when needed: finding the right "Justin Bieber" footage to use in the edit, creating the logo animation for the screen on our blimp, assisting Enrique with the blimp cabinet design, helping Eli with early-stage compositing, and working with Jisoo to create the “Vote Now” background and turntable background animation, while serving as the main point of contact and approving shots for final output after team sign-off.
Challenges
Coordinating schedules during team emergencies was the biggest challenge in this project, especially since our pipeline required each step to be completed before the next could begin.
Fortunately, the team remained supportive and communicative; everyone was understanding of unexpected situations, flexible with rescheduling, and responsible in delivering their work, allowing us to navigate these challenges smoothly together.
